SWEET & SOUR MEATBALLS

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1 envelope onion soup mix
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • ΒΌ cup dried bread crumbs
  • 1 cup grape jam
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • Dash salt and pepper

Directions

Mix ground beef, soup mix, salt, pepper, egg, and bread crumbs together. Form into tiny meatballs. Brown in a frying pan in batches, drain on paper towel, then place in a large pot.

In a glass bowl, combine ketchup and grape jam. Microwave to melt if needed, stirring until well combined. Pour sauce over meatballs and simmer one hour. These may be simmered in a crock pot. Serve in a casserole dish or chaffing dish.

Makes about 100 tiny meatballs.
